Kris Straub

The creator of Starslip Crisis, Kris Straub, seem to have a little difficulty when it comes to drawing himself. After some deliberation, he came up with this.

The noose was an afterthought.

Colleen AF Venable

Colleen AF Venable does these absurdist comic called Fluff in Brooklyn, where she and her friends dressed up and take photographs of themselves. She has nicely-shaped calves, one of which now sports a connect-the-dots tattoo, which forms a giraffe. I think she has a giraffe fetish.

She said she dabbles in the doodle and presented me with this sketch of herself. I like the little captions. The cape and ghooost legs are also a nice touch.

David Malki !

David Malki ! started off my sketch book. He’s the creator of the webcomic, Wondermark, where he uses 19th century Victorian images and puts speech balloons filled with fart jokes and musings about bears in ill-fitting hats.

He has a movie out called Expandable. It will be screened at various film festivals around the country. He also has an upcoming book, Beards of Our Forefathers, which you can pre-order.

At the time of asking Malki ! for a sketch, he did not, in anyway, reminded me of Rasputin.
